MFM コンピを契機に再評価高まるUKレジェンド Michael Turtle を Laurel Halo、Félicia Atkinson、D.K 等、先鋭等がリミックス再構築。 80年代初頭から制作を開始し、現在はスイスを拠点にバレアリック・レーベル Light Of Other Days からもリリースしている Michal Turtle。MFM のコンピレーションを契機にここ数年カルト的人気が高まっています。今回は彼の過去作を現行アーティストがリミックスし、新たな息吹を宿した全13曲入りを収録。

Priori が昨年データでリリースしていた浮遊テックハウスのキラー・チューンがホワイト自主盤仕様で限定ヴァイナル・カット！B面には Dust-e-1 リミックスを収録。

台北レーベル 禁 JIN のリリース第二弾は、香港を拠点に Klasse Wrecks を運営する Mr. Ho。都市のコンクリート密林を蛇の如く這いまわるスローモー・アシッド・チャッガー "Holy Smokes" をはじめオリジナル3曲がどれも超強力。Klasse からもリリースしている Dawl + Sween のリミックスA2はヴァイナル・オンリーです。

Back in 2019, Cold Blow dipped into the bulging archives of long-serving British producer Jason Adkins, offering up an expansive collection of music released in 1993 and ’94 as Electro Music Union, Sinoesin and Xonox. Two years on, Cold Blow has joined forces with fellow archival electronic music specialists Musique Pour La Danse to showcase works from Adkins’ first successful project, the turn-of-the-90s UK techno trio Liquid Son. Adkins formed the outfit with school friend Neil Chisolm and ‘executive producer’ Sean Smith at the tail end of the ‘90s, after spending his teenage years making electro and synth-pop in his bedroom.

Welcome back to the Wellness sound. For the third Wellness edition the label invited two grand producers to deliver driving and refreshing music. Sota came up with three punchy distinctive minimal rollers which all serve their individual purpose of getting listeners to groove, stimulated as well as put them into a mental state of well-being. The A2 Remix by house legend Diego Krause is moving the punchy sound aesthetics just a step further and completes this EP with a hypnotic hitter.

仏リヨンから登場のレーベル Light On Earth 新作。レーベル主宰者 Sentiments と新進気鋭 Hyas のスプリット作。タイトルでも匂わせてますが、両者とも B-More フレイバーを漂わせたリヨン産らしいミュータント・ダンスを披露。プログレッシヴ系の疾走するベースラインや、ダブステップの再解釈を感じさせるのも面白いです。

ここ数年見過ごせないリリースが続くアムステルダム発 Who's Susan より、詳細不明のニューカマー Sun Genam のデビュー作。ハードステッピンなブレイクス〜ブロークンビートやミュータントなトライバルベース、深く潜り込むようなテクノなど、ジャンルを跨ぎながら荘厳な神秘世界が展開されている快作。

Automatic Tasty による陽気さと憂鬱さが入り混じった緩めシンセ・ポップ！ヌードルジャケも本作のイメージにピッタリな全6曲入りのミニアルバムです。

韓国ソウルのクラブ Faust でレジデントを務める Marcus L による初フィジカル作品。韓国のラッパー Kill Gone をフィーチャーしたA1をはじめ、近年一部で盛り上がりを見せるハードダンスに呼応したレイヴ・テクノ盤。パリの Hadone リミックスを加えた全4曲を収録。ジャケットは顕微鏡でズームしたキムチだそうです。

ロンドンの古株デュオ Posthuman が Food Music からリリース。Rinse FM や DJ Mag で紹介され問い合わせが殺到したというオリジナルA1は、オールドスクールな熱感に溢れたプレイフルなアシッドハウス。よりテクノでタフな Luke Vibert のリミックス、イスラエル出身でオランダを拠点とする Black Girl/White Girl のマニアックなゲットーハウス・リミックスも収録。

ロンドン新進気鋭のプロデューサー Max Frith によるセルフリリース三部作「T.A.B」第一弾。洗練されたサンプルやコード進行が印象に残る、とても抑制されたUKガラージのA面 "Fade"、曇り空のようなアンビエンスをまとい、IDM的な意匠も感じさせるパーカッシヴ・チューンB面 "Slipstream" の2曲を収録。

バルセロナの Lapsus Records が主催したフェスティヴァル "A Sonic Womb" にて、ヘッドラインを務めた際の音源を収録。古くから愛用する Buchla 200e を用いて、彼女自身がジャズに通じると言うように即興的なエレクトロニクスが脳を揺さぶります。カンタベリーやジャーマンプログレ好きな方にも推薦です。

Soviet Space Research Institute (SSRI) is a musical scheme led by Vladimiros Peilivanidis under the moniker Heinz Kammler. Similar to other HK by-products such as ITPDWIP (Instant Teleportation Process Detected While In Progress), SSRI is influenced by early Soviet and Western electronix of the likes of Detroit, Bristol, Munich, and St. Petersburg.

Black Jeans 名義でも知られるオークランドの奇才 Russell Butler が Fixed Rhythms から実験的なモジュラー・テクノをリリース。サンフランシスコで行われたライヴ・セットからの音源となるようです。

誰が仕掛け人なのかは明かされていませんが、架空のオブスキュア盤を仕立て上げてリイシューする誇大妄想音楽集団（？）Lily Record による Lorad Group、Clarence Seti に続く第三弾。今回はサンフランシスコの素人音楽家 Randy Williams なる人物が97年に宅録したという一枚。イタリアの米軍基地に滞在していた時の情景を描いて制作され、後にライブラリー作品としてCDリリースされたという細かな設定がされております。

Minimal Wave や Stroom からも編集盤がリリースされているイタリアン・ウェイヴ・ユニット Ruins の入手困難な84年の作品が MFM よりリイシュー。イタリアの画家 Luigi Viola の映像作品のために制作されたという一枚で、Gigi Masin とのコラボレイトでも知られる Alessandro Pizzin と Piergiuseppe Ciranna の2人が楽曲制作を担当したエクスペリメンタルなアンビエントを中心に収録しています。未発表4曲収録したボーナス7インチを付属。

CAコンプトンを拠点とするビートメイカーによるディープ・ダブ・ブロークンビート／コズミックアンビエント。uon や Ultrafog のリリースを手掛けてきた Motion Ward レーベルならではの一筋縄ではいかないレフトフィールド佳作です。
